Stand With Us
MAY 8TH
5-8 PM
KEEN FOOTWEAR HQ
515 NW 13th Ave Portland OR 97209
STAND is more than just a word; it’s a commitment.
Join us May 8th as we STAND together, STAND up for ourselves, and STAND against the stigma surrounding mental health.
We all know what it’s like to feel unsteady, to feel like we’re struggling to STAND on our own two feet. Cascadia’s event, featuring the life and art of Bob Volke, is a shared space where we can acknowledge those moments, share our experiences, find strength in each other and STAND in our shared humanity.
Through mental health treatment and the support of family and friends, Volke’s ability to STAND in strength- despite his diagnosis of schizophrenia - is a testament to the power of community and the positive change that comes when mental wellbeing is prioritized and celebrated.
Join us in taking a STAND for mental health services and continued access to integrated care and resources for our community.
Volke’s original art and prints will be available for sale.
ALL proceeds go to Cascadia Health.
Pre-register for the event for a chance to win a framed print by Bob!

BOB VOLKE
ARTIST
Bob Volke was an artist known for his insightful and whimsical paintings that provided a peek into his schizophrenic mind. Bob began his journey as an artist as a way to deal with his mental illness, saying that painting muffled the voices in his head. He used all manner of implements, experimenting with various brushes, kitchen utensils, and pencil erasers to add texture and uniqueness to his art. Bob established himself as a successful artist, with his paintings hanging in homes around the world.
